Where’s Wren? does not collect any data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party code in the app. Everything you do in the game stays on your iPhone or iPad. The App Store privacy label for the app is “Data Not Collected.”
The app stores a small amount of information locally so the game works:
This information never leaves the device. We cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it.
The game is about guessing where Wren is, not where you are. The app never asks for or uses your location.
The globe is drawn with Apple Maps (MapKit). When you spin it, your device requests map imagery from Apple in the same way the built-in Maps app does. That request is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, and it does not include your guesses or anything about you from the game.
Puzzles are bundled with the app. In a future version the app may download new puzzles from our content server; those downloads will contain nothing about you beyond the ordinary technical details of any web request, and we will update this page before that ships.
You can turn on an optional daily reminder. It is scheduled locally on your device and does not use a push server.
Where’s Wren? is rated 4+ and made for families. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
When you tap Share, the app hands your result grid to the iOS share sheet. What happens next is up to you and the app you choose to share with.
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the App Store.
